It didn't fit, looks like she will be spending another winter outside under a cover.
Also I noticed this parked next to my Jetta
Probably someones daily driver. Or at least I hope so. The parking lot at my apartment complex is not really the best place for people who give a shit about their cars. My Jetta has gotten all kinds of new dings and scratches from people's carelessness, strange need to own big trucks, and undersized parking spaces.

There's a pristine E24 6 series BMW sitting at the apartment complex adjacent to mine. I never see it move, but it's obviously in very good condition and still being driven. Strangely enough, it's the only E24 I've seen in real life, and I have no idea if they still drive it (but I hope it gets daily/weekend driven at least).

You've got a lot of unused height in that garage... maybe rig up some pulleys?

looks like a mono shock virago. Why would you keep that giant seat on it? slim it down ala classified moto

Reason #265 why I can't ever live in an apartment again; loud inconsiderate assholes who blare music into your peace and quiet and shit all over your prized possesions.

Get some ACF50 on it and you cn feel a bit less guilty about leaving it outside to rot.

Looks like you could squeeze it on the side there. Get one of those motorcycle dollies from harbor freight (with a coupon they can be had for around $75?). Then you could wheel right into that space.

Why don't you own that Amazon yet???!!!

I could but that would make my nearly blind backing in with the FR-S all the more precarious. I may look into storing it near the back of the garage and parking the car further up.

Hmmm, haven't even heard of it, but I'll look into it. Thanks!

Yep, it's one of the reasons that my ONLY selection criteria when looking for apartments was the availability of a garage.

It's a work in progress, already went ahead with taking away all of it's chrome (removed or repainted) but I do not have the skills/tools/space for tools to fabricate a custom seat mount. Are there places where one can buy drop in replacements?

A huge amount, and there is actually way taller that it looks. It goes about another 10 feet up to the roof of the garage building.
I may have an issue storing my leaky old motorcycle on top of my car. Otherwise I'd be all over some kind of double layer storage system.

Buy it!
I'm the asshole that always leaves an inquiry note with my contact info when I see an interesting car/bike parked for a long time.

I totally would... If my bike did not constantly mark it's territory via a series of small oil leaks.

I left a note, but its probably outside of my price range. Also I would not be able to give it a better home right now.

It's good stuff, about £15 a can and lasts all winter. I generally annoint all my bikes around this time, although I only ride the dirtbike in winter since it's not too nice to crash in the snow. XD

I dont think anyone makes a seat for the early virago. Check out classified moto they do some great custom viragos. Nice bike!

Oh yeah I'm definitely a fan of their work. One of the things I love about the Virago is that at it's best, it can look a lot like an old Norton. Unfortunately, on the early models, all of the electrics are under the seat in the back. I'm not even sure where I'd be able to hide everything if not there, and it's the only reason I have not chopped off the entire rear end.

If you want, I'll take that bike off your hands...
I can find something to do with it.

Hey I just saw that this guy sells bolt onsubframes for the virago that fit a dime city cafe seat. check him out... http://hagemanmc.com/merchandise/
here is one of his viragos http://www.pipeburn.com/home/2013/10/2…

Hmm, I may have to hit him up and see what his pricing is, mine would look pretty sick with a seat like that.
I might also try to pick his brain on what exactly he did to fix the virago starter issues. The engine is one of the most solid I've ever encountered, and with the way I treat it, my service interval really ought to be measured in hours rather than miles. But the starter system really is the weakest link.
